Turkey , known as ” the cradle of civilization” hosted the first human settlement on its soil, which has been dated as 12,000 years old and is also the home of ancient cultures, including the Hittites, Phrygians, Urartians, Lycians, lydians, Ionians, Persians, Macedonians, Romans, Byzantines, Seljuks and Ottomans.

Following the decline of Ottoman Empire, the modern Republic of Turkey was founded in 1923 by Mustafa Kemal, known as Ataturk.
Turkey’s mild climate allows sunshine to warm you up for the most part of the year as you lie on your beach chair or as you swim in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean and Mediterranean and has gorgeous sandy beaches along its Aegean, Mediterranean and Black Sea coasts.
Turkey is a country with a captivating culture and history, warm friendly people and a pleasant climate with refreshing breezes from the Aegean and easily accessed by all airlines coming directly from almost all countries.

Healthcare in Turkey

High standards of health services, top-quality medical technology, modern hospital facilities and well experience physicians in Turkey contribute to the country’s high healthcare standards.

The healthcare issues has never left the public agenda and the healthcare system has entered a long period of development under the 2003-2013 Health Transformation Program. Turkey is currently seeking to join the European Union and in preparation for this, both government and private healthcare institutions are conducting strict implementation of quality, technical and medical standards by the Health Transformation Program.

Most of the hospitals have local and international accreditation including the JCI (Joint Commissions International), the JACHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations), ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and have the affiliations with Western medical groups and facilities too.

Close cooperation between medical research institutions and industry has led to significant progress in the development of special medical equipment, laboratories are backed up by CAT, advanced microcomputer-supported devices and treatments of the critical situations are being interested cases in the world.

The purpose of Health Transformation Program is to increase the quality and efficiency of the healthcare system and enhance access to healthcare facilities. As a result of the Program, Turkey’s healthcare spending growth, approximately 10.5 percent annually. The Ministry of Health is responsible;

  • for the development of health policy both state and private
  • for the operations of public health services
  • for the governmental health care budget

All these factors are constantly monitored by the Ministry of Health with the Independent Turkish Medical Associations. Both of them set the local standards and guidelines that are followed by hospitals, healthcare facilities and medical practitioners.

Both public and private sector hospital numbers have been growing strongly; the number of hospitals are about 1400,total number of beds are about 200.000.Hi-tech medical structure has an integral part of modern diagnostic procedures and the operations in Turkey with laser surgical instruments, computerized monitoring systems and other life-saving & pain-relieving devices.

Most hospitals in Turkey have English-speaking doctors and medical staff that are certified by the official associations as Turkish Medical Association and other specialized associations Turkey; the cradle of cultures and civilizations connecting Europe and Asia, capital of civilizations that have reined the lands of Anatolia for centuries and represents a cultural mixture, a synthesis of east – west while it geographically bridges Europe and Asia as combining the natural beauties with its 12.000 years-old heritage.

Since the beginning of history, Anatolia, well known as one the earliest settlements, has continued to flourish with the migration of various tribes and accumulated a large cultural heritage through a line of succeeding empires and civilizations.
